Winter Pond Care
Little care is needed for the average winter pond.
Additions of beneficial bacteria and enzymes can help to keep it cleaner and clearer. Keeping the leaves and debris cleaned from the bottom of the pond can be very helpful for clarity come spring time.
Use a strong-handled net to remove fallen leaves and trash then follow up with another pass of the net wrapped with old stocking or pantyhose.
The second pass will gather all sorts of fine debris and the net will be heavy with muck. Let the pond settle for a day and repeat if necessary.
